What are the major challenges today that must be faced head on?– how do we address diversity with inclusivity (i.e. Love). Axiom: as a system complexifies, the only way to address and embrace growing diversity (inevitable in a system) is with inclusivity (which =’s love). Nice jump from the galaxy to love!
How is all this interconnected? There is only one planet, only one system, all inter-connected. We and the planet are a super-organism, so let’s treat it that way!
What does science know today that advises humanity to pro-actively get in the drivers seat of evolution? Of course, it’s knowing, from “Group” and “Multi-level” natural selection– that (1) groups always select “for the good of the whole” and (2) that nature is trying to drive toward altruistic (prosocial) behavior. Thus it’s up to US to not just be passive in what we might think is a “random” system. This changes everything, as David Sloan Wilson and the Dalai Lama emphasized in their discussion.
Yet, for activists we must realize that just this realization is not enough. We must OFFER the choices that people and collectives and make to steer cultural evolution in a positive direction. Natural selection operates by CHOICE!
What are the “lever points” today?– the big realizations that need to come into the public mind to give us (1) a global humility to bring us together and (2) point the way to proactively getting in the driver’s seat. Certainly a knowledge that “we are not alone” may be one of them!
What is the natural mix of subjective knowing and objective knowing– the best of science and the best of the wisdom of the ancients and indigenous peoples to help guide the ship?
What does it mean to understand reality is extra- and ultra- dimensional and the implications of that re: diversity, complexity and inclusivity?
So these benchmarks for the Star Fleet! let’s move at Warp Speed!
